Marketing a Website - More Than A Blog

One of the biggest challenges to marketing a website is that people thing all they have to do is write a couple of posts and voila Google will show them on the front page of a search return. This is all part of local marketing.

Nonsense!

To get ranked for keywords is much more that just posting this short article! I have to use keywords I want to be ranked for (like marketing a website) , use the keywords correctly in the article and heading, then use social bookmarking and social marketing to get it 'out there'.

I have software I use to send it to RSS feeds, send it to places like Digg, Redditt, StumleUpon and others. And I'll twitter about it to.

A lot of sometimes laborious work. Kinda like going around putting up the little real estate signs every weekend if you are trying to sell a house.

It is just you have to put the signs up on the Internet!

My suggestion is to pay someone else to do it who knows a system and who has been doing it a long time.
